Speech Sound Disorders
Your child may have difficulty saying certain speech sounds. This might include sound distortions (such as a lisp or trouble with the /r/ sound) or patterns of sound errors, like leaving off the final sound in a word (for example, saying “ca” for “cat”).

Expressive Language
Your child may have difficulty using words and sentences to share their thoughts, ideas, or needs. This can include a smaller vocabulary, trouble combining words, or challenges with grammar, word order, or storytelling.

Receptive Language
Your child may have difficulty understanding spoken language. This can include challenges following directions, answering questions, or learning new words and concepts.

Social Communication
Your child may have difficulty using language in social situations. This can include challenges with playing with others, taking turns in conversation, understanding nonverbal cues, or seeing another person’s point of view.

Stuttering
Your child may have difficulty with speech fluency, including repeating sounds or words, stretching out sounds, or experiencing moments where speech feels stuck, which can impact how comfortably and confidently they communicate.

3. EVALUATION
I provide a comprehensive evaluation to assess your child’s communication skills and determine whether a speech or language disorder is present. The evaluation identifies strengths and areas for growth and may include formal and/or informal assessment measures, clinical observation, caregiver input, and a detailed case history. A written report will be reviewed with you within two weeks of the evaluation.

4. SPEECH THERAPY
If therapy is recommended, your child will receive weekly, individualized speech therapy tailored to their unique goals. Sessions use fun, functional, and provided in your home or daycare, supporting comfort, confidence, and meaningful progress.
